Shia LaBeouf's ex-drug addict father, has moved back in with him — and has happily settled into Shia's garage, STAR reports.

"My dad lives in Montana in a tepee, and he gets cold, so he comes up to my house for the winters and stays in the garage," Shia, 22, revealed about his 60-year-old dad, Jeffrey, during a May 20 appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly. "He's got an air mattress set up for him; it's very comfortable." Jeffrey tells Star , "I live here now."

"I love him, but we have similar tastes. Living in close proximity, we get into little battles. Over the fridge, over supplies, just everyday average stuff. Toothpaste, clean towels... it becomes a little overbearing, so we keep him in the garage."

"It's not winter anymore, and he's still here," says Shia. "You can't be like, 'Hey Dad, listen, it's time to go back to your tepee.' You can't make him leave."
