After 11 years and four boys Bill and Jennifer Butler Murray are calling it quits. Perhaps that's for the best, considering the nasty allegations being hurled back and forth. It's really too bad when celebrities air their dirty laundry in public, especially when there's kids involved. Maybe they inherited Dad's wicked sense of humor and not Mom's temper.

In Bill's defense, he always seemed like a funny, happy-go-lucky kind of drunk - there was that golf cart incident in Stockholm last year when he drove everyone home from a tournament and was detained in a 7-11 parking lot for driving under the influence. Yes, they have 7-11's in Sweden apparently.

Jennifer says that Bill is an alcoholic, pothead and unfaithful as well as abusive. Did they give her a multiple choice form to fill out? And while Bill hasn't said anything about this turn of events, the cops in Jennifer's hometown sure did. Reports were leaked about "bizarre police incidents" with the "avid drinker who gets 'physical' with her kids". When two of them ran to a neighbor for help they called the cops, who found Jennifer to be totally stinko drunk and belligerent, slamming the door in their faces when they tried to question her. Rather than return to an unstable home, the kids were taken to a family friend until their father could get back from the West Coast.

Is Bill a drunk? Probably; I'm sure there's a grain of truth to each of their stories, depending on whose side you're on. Is Jennifer a drunk? Also a good possibility, although you have to take into account that these stories most likely came from Bill's camp. Are their boys about to go through hell because their parents suddenly, mysteriously hate each other? More than likely. Perhaps they can settle things quickly and quietly and move on, but there's the little question of a prenup Jennifer would like to get tossed out.
