AMY WINEHOUSE undergoing tests

WINEHOUSE collapsed at home shortly after signing autographs for fans.

Shocked friends rang 999 and an ambulance was sent to the scene, where paramedics treated the junkie singer, SUN reports.

Her dad Mitch, 57, remained concerned and took his daughter to a clinic for further examination.

It emerged last night that Amy had sprained her ankle falling down the steps in Camden, North London.

And doctors decided to keep her in overnight as they carried out tests to find out why she had passed out.

A spokesman for the troubled star said: “Amy was at home when she briefly fainted. Fortunately her manager’s assistant was there.

“She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution.

“Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is undergoing tests.” An onlooker said: “Amy seemed fine earlier. She was laughing with a group of girl fans.

“Then she went inside and the ambulance turned up.”
