Trisha Yearwood's new cookbook a hit

In a statement, Yearwood said she was "overwhelmed" by the response, PEOPLE reports.

Co-authored with her mother, Gwen, and sister Beth, the book began as a scrapbook of favorite family recipes.

"My mother and sister and I had so many recipes that we all loved that weren't written down," she said. "So even if nobody but my mom bought this book, it's just good to get these all in one place!"
