Trisha Yearwood's new cookbook, Trisha Yearwood's Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen, hit No. 3 on the New York Times Bestseller List this week in the "Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous" category.

In a statement, Yearwood said she was "overwhelmed" by the response, PEOPLE reports.

Co-authored with her mother, Gwen, and sister Beth, the book began as a scrapbook of favorite family recipes.

"My mother and sister and I had so many recipes that we all loved that weren't written down," she said. "So even if nobody but my mom bought this book, it's just good to get these all in one place!"
