Nick Cannon attended Mariah Carey's birthday party before their surprise wedding in the Bahamas, US reports.

Carey – who turned 38 on March 27 – celebrated with her "pals," including rapper Da Brat and nephew Shawn McDonald on a private island off the coast of Antigua, Vibe magazine reports in its June issue.

Vibe described Cannon, 27, as a "recent acquaintance." He was spotted with his laptop. He also fixed himself a plate at the buffet, the magazine reports.
