The odd couple have known each other for years through their parents, an insider tells Star, and they even went out for a few months back in 1999.

Jake, 27, and Chelsea, 28, are still tight, adds the source — and Chelsea thinks Reese would make the perfect wife for her friend.

"Chelsea is a big Reese fan," says the source. "She told him, 'Don't let her get away.'"
