Her old man Jamie has been telling friends Jason Trewick is a "stabilizing influence" on his daughter. A spy says: "Jamie thinks Jason would be a great match for Britney."

The singer made her first formal public appearance in months at the 50th birthday party of fashion mogul Christian Audigier. She and Jason have known each other for years but were being extra cosy.

A fellow guest said: "She always had a thing for bad boys but now she realizes good guys can be attractive, too"
