A friend says her old insecurities came flooding back when Victoria saw photos of David, 32, out partying at two LA celebrity nightclubs while she was in London with their children – Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, five, and Cruz, three.

'Victoria saw the pictures of David enjoying himself and heard that there were lots of girls around him. It brought out her jealous side,' the source says.

'When Victoria's feeling unloved, David only has to look at a woman and it can cause a row. She worries about keeping hold of her man.

'Victoria can't compete with David,' adds the insider. 'He really is America's golden child.

'She wants to be seen as the perfect wife next to him, but people won't give her the breaks she deserves.'
