Shia LaBeouf, 21, who was reportedly on the prowl for a new girlfriend recently at the Beatrice Inn in NYC, may have gotten his wish.

SHIA LABEOUF DATING Lauren Hastings

The star of this summer’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is dating LA model and scenester Lauren Hastings, 23, LIFE & STYLE WEEKLY reports. “He met her through a mutual friend and thought she was one of the most beautiful girls he’d ever seen,” says a friend of Shia’s.

But not all of Shia’s friends are happy he’s hooked up with Lauren, who appeared in Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” video but is better known for a public spat with frenemy Lindsay Lohan. Last year Lauren reportedly accused Lindsay of stealing $10,000 worth of clothes from her, which Lindsay denied. “We warned him Lauren could be trouble,” says the friend, “but he wouldn’t listen. He’s attracted to the bad girls.”

Shia and Lauren talk and message constantly. “They’re into each other,” says an insider.
