Pete Doherty evicted from his house.
The troubled singer - who is currently serving time in London's Wormwood
Scrubs prison after breaching the suspended sentence imposed to help him
overcome his drug problems – reportedly lost the nine-bedroom country
mansion after the horrified landlord visited the property and found it in a
state of ruin.
The walls, floor and windows were covered in blood, while Pete’s pet cats
had been left alone to run wild.
A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Pete is homeless, broke and
owes thousands to drug dealers. He destroyed the place by scribbling on the
walls, the floor, anywhere he felt like it.
“The beautiful heavy curtains were ripped down and the cats are running
around abandoned. The stench from the nine cats would turn the strongest
stomach.”
Pete’s friends have allegedly been visiting the mansion in Wiltshire, South
West England, and stealing his possessions so they can sell them while he is
in prison.
Meanwhile, Stefano Passantino – the founder of Lastseason.com – has set up
the Pete Doherty Welfare Fund to help him make a fresh start after he has
served his three-month sentence.
Passantino, who offered the star £5,000 for a one-day photo shoot earlier
this year, wants to help Pete change his lifestyle and concentrate on his
music career.
He said: “I’m a huge fan and I want to see Pete performing and writing new
material. I will do what I can to help him leave the bad stuff behind. I
will give him a job, feed him and clothe him.”
