Joe Jonas of the “Jonas Brothers” spoke with Michael Yo of “Yo on E!” defending pal Miley Cyrus. Jonas expressed his support of his friend, while also dishing on the band’s upcoming album, image and crushes!

Joe Jonas defends Miley Cyrus

Have you seen the pictures of Miley Cyrus floating around the web?

“I don’t think so.”

C’mon Joe, you know you have.

“Yeah… We’re good friends of hers, and we got her back and we love her to death.”

Doesn’t it stink that you guys have a great image and Miley has a great image, but everyone seems to come after you because they want some dirt on you? How do you control that because people are looking at you guys too?

“I think it’s just the way you come out of it. As much as they say, no one’s perfect and everybody makes their mistakes. I think it’s the way you handle it and come out of it the proper and respectful way. “

Eight months ago you’re on tour with Miley Cyrus, now you’re kicking off your second tour, and you’re brand new CD is dropping August 19th.

“We’re so excited. It’s so great. It’s been amazing. We’ve done a lot of traveling overseas. We went to Mexico and Europe. It was just the coolest thing ever.”

Now, you guys have a great image of course in the media and with your fans, you appeal to the younger fans. With your new CD are you worried about being stuck in that stereotype?

“You know, we’re not trying to get out of any genre by any means. We really love our fan base, and they’re just the best and we really understand that they’re kind of growing up along with us, and when we write songs that are relevant to who we are, we believe that our fans will relate as we grow up… And the record is a really fun, upbeat record that I think fans will really enjoy, and there’s some songs coming your way.”

Every time we talk you give me some good gossip. Any of you guys dating anyone yet?

“Not, not yet unfortunately.”

Close?

“Close? Nothing close yet. There’s a few people that we would like to be gossiped about. That’d be nice.”

Who do you want to be gossiped about?

“I’ve always had a crush on Emma Watson.”
