Lucille Gatchell, 64, was found to be two times over Massachusetts' legal
alcohol limit when she smashed into the front end of the private car
carrying the 'Speed' actress and her husband James after jumping lanes in
her grey Subaru car.
Gatchell's defense attorney Benjamin Richard said: "Miss Gatchell is very
relieved that no one was injured. She also wants to express her gratitude to
Ms. Bullock and Mr. James for what she understands was their concern for her
well-being after the accident."
After entering a plea of not guilty in District Court in Gloucestershire,
Massachusetts,, Gatchell was charged with driving under
the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
