David Beckham embarrasses mom with underwear ad

David Beckham says his mom was embarrassed by his underwear billboards for Emporio Armani.

"When the photos came out, she was the first one to call me and say, 'What are you doing?'" Beckham, 32, revealed to Jay Leno. "I had to try and explain it to her and it didn't go down that well."

When Leno flashed one of them pictures, the studio audience squealed with approval, PEOPLE reports
