Sam Lutfi wants a new judge, PEOPLE reports.

In papers filed , Friday Sam Lutfi objects to the California Superior Court commissioner who ordered him to stay away from Britney Spears for another month.

The document, which was signed by Lutfi.

Lutfi is free to appear in court on April 16 to petition for a new judge.
