Richard Gere cleared

Richard Gere was cleared of obscenity charges after kissing Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty at an AIDS awareness event in India last year, OK reports.

A two-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India, KG Balakrishnan, called the charge “frivolous,” BBC News reports.

“Richard Gere is free to enter the country,” the judge said. “This is the end of the matter."
