William Spears, the brother of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears's father Jamie, says the Zoey 101 star was an accident, reports The Sun.

William, said Jamie was shocked when his wife Lynne told him she was pregnant as he had undergone a vasectomy after the birth of Britney.

He said: "Jamie got awfully mad. He said it couldn't be his."

Jamie allegedly demanded a DNA test, which proved he was Jamie Lynn's father.

"That's why they named her Jamie Lynn, to kind of make the point that she was from both of them," William added.
