Avril Lavigne has slammed some of her fans as obsessive "weirdos".

The singer was asked whether she ever got concerned by the attention her rocker husband Deryck Whibley received from groupies, Digital Spy reports

She told America's Maxim: "I'm the one with all the stalkers. I get these weirdo, crazy guys. There are a lot of 'Avril, Marry Me!' signs. I've had fans tattoo my face on them, or get the same tattoos I have.

"I've had women tell me they named their daughters after me, which is kind of weird, because I think people will hear their name and totally think of me. If someone were named Shania, I'd think Shania Twain."
