Mark Vincent Kaplan, the lawyer for Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, said his client had been instrumental in reinstating Britney's visitation rights, adding: "The process of reinstating the children's mother as a participant in their lives can commence."
A court order preventing Britney from seeing her sons was put in place at the beginning of the year after she refused to return the children to Kevin.
After police were called to her Los Angeles home, Britney was taken to a local hospital for psychiatric treatment.
She was later released but was readmitted earlier this month and spent six days receiving treatment for mental health problems.
