On Jan. 17, Owen Wilson, who attempted suicide last August, popped into Green House Smoke Shop in Venice, Calif. “He was friendly,” an insider tells Life & Style. “He bought one of the biggest bongs and spent almost $300 on it.”
Owen seemed concerned about not being spotted. “He was worried that someone might have seen him coming out,” the insider says. “He hid behind a FedEx truck for 30 seconds before darting to his car!”
According to Marty Brenner, a Beverly Hills addiction expert, a reported recovering addict “shouldn’t be in a smoke shop, let alone buying a bong. If so, Owen’s playing with fire.”
Owen’s purchases included a $25 monkey pipe, says an insider.
