Keira Knightley cakes herself in make-up to look pretty

Keira Knightley – who confesses she's got low self-esteem - says she has to resort to caking herself in make-up so that she can look her usual glam self.

'My film career has boosted my self-esteem,' says Keira. 'I'm self-conscious and I've always tried to dress down. I don't even like wearing make-up but I have to because of my acne.'

'I've been saved many times at film premieres by wonderful make-up artists who make my skin look much better than it is,' she tells the Daily Express.

'That's all part of the make-believe world of cinema.'
