One of Amy's friends told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She has agreed she will sort her life out in the New Year. Her team are sending her on a one-week rehab and detox treatment course.
"But she is going to throw a party at her new flat in east London over Christmas - which will probably be a messy affair."
Amy - who has struggled to cope since husband Blake Fielder-Civil was imprisoned on remand for assault and allegedly perverting the course of justice - reportedly wants to get clean before the Grammy Awards on February 10.
The star, who has been nominated in six categories, is determined to impress the music industry with a stunning performance at the prestigious ceremony in Los Angeles' Staples Centre.
The pal added: "She wants to give the performance of her life in Los Angeles.
"Things have got worse for Amy since Blake was jailed. She has been taking more drugs than ever."
Amy, who briefly entered an Essex rehab facility after her overdose, has worried friends and family with her erratic behavior.
