Shar Jackson talks about Kevin Federline

Kevin Federline may not be on good terms with his ex-wife, Britney Spears, but he couldn't be chummier with his other baby mama, Shar Jackson.

On Tuesday at a video game launch party in Los Angeles, Shar spoke to reporters about her need to maintain strong family ties with Kevin for the sake of their children together, 5-year-old Kori and 3-year-old Kaleb. "We definitely make sure the kids all bond together," she said referring to Kevin's children with Spears, 2-year-old Sean and 1-year-old Jayden. "I mean, they're siblings, they need each other."

Of her relationship with Federline, Jackson said, "Honestly, we're like the best of friends. Obviously, the relationship didn't work out for a reason, and we're cool with that. But we're still a part of each other's lives. And our children get to see two people who aren't together but still have a great relationship, and I think that's really important."

Jackson confessed that she and Federline don't talk about his legal battles with Spears. "That would be a non-stop conversation, and we don't even go there," she said. But despite the constant court appearances, Kevin is "in a good place," Jackson said. "The kids are in a good place, and I made sure from day one – I told him, 'You make sure you have our children.' "
