Ryan Phillippe talks about divorce

Even though Ryan Phillippe claims he was suicidal after his split from Reese Witherspoon last year, it's hard to feel sorry for the guy. He did allegedly cause the break up by having an affair with his Stop Loss co-star, Abbie Cornish. But even if the 33-year-old actor doesn't have public support, at least his experience has made acting easier for him.

Phillippe told Man About Town, a British magazine, "After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."

At least all the crying that Ryan did over his split has made crying on cue a snap. He told the magazine, "Now, it's f---king easy. When I was younger, I didn't have enough to cry about. But since I've had kids, I feel my work has become better, because my life is fuller and more complicated, and I've experienced so many highs and lows."

Phillippe did not indicate whether the vomiting that he did has made it easier to puke on cue as well.
