Nicole Richie's Wizard of Oz baby shower

As Nicole Richie's due date quickly approaches, her friends and family threw her first of reportedly five baby showers on Sunday. The Wizard of Oz-themed event was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Hosting the shower was Nicole's mother, Brenda, her sister, Sophia, friend, Masha Gordon and Paris Hilton. Paris told Us Weekly, "The shower was really cute. We had a Wizard of Oz cake." In addition to the Oz cake, attendees dined on "little burgers and pasta," said Paris.

Those lucky enough to be invited to the bash included Samantha Ronson, Sophie Monk and Nicole's new pal Lauren Conrad. Lauren told Us, "The shower was great. It was really cute."

Spies for People magazine claimed a number of gifts that Nicole and her boyfriend Joel Madden received for their baby
