On Monday, Lohan began her community service an American Red Cross blood services facility in suburban Los Angeles.
While it is not clear what Lohan's community service at the facility entails, she was in the building from 12 to 7 pm. When she left, she was carrying a book called Blood.
Lohan will have to serve one day in jail between now and January. She had another day removed from her sentence for the time she served related to her July arrest. An insider tells Perez Hilton, that Lohan may be serving her sentence sooner rather than later - on Thanksgiving, to be exact. The source said, "She's hoping by doing her sentence on a holiday that there will be less attention on her arrival and departure. She doesn't want the same hoopla that surrounded Paris."
Lohan wouldn't be the first celebrity to try to sneak under the radar during the Thanksgiving holiday. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey announced their separation the day before Thanksgiving in 2005. Unfortunately, the celebs don't realize is that this tactic just gives the press something to be thankful for: headlines.
