Heather Mills is begging TV bosses to let her appear on a 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas special.
The former model, who is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney, hopes competing in the hit BBC series will improve her public profile.
Heather, who appeared on the US version 'Dancing with the Stars' earlier this year, is keen to take part in the special show next month - where celebrities from the UK and US series battle against each other.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "'Dancing with the Stars' made Heather an unlikely celebrity in her own right in America. Straight after she was offered countless chat shows, reality TV programs and high-profile magazine interviews.
"Naturally she wants to don the sequined gowns and feather boas over here in the hope that the same thing happens - and to try to rectify and reverse public perception. Heather approached producers and negotiated herself a £7,500 fee which she plans to give to animal rights charities.
"She is really excited about the show and although she sees it primarily as damage limitation, she is absolutely desperate to win."
