"It's just awful", eyewitness Bryan Beck, a Portland writer, overhead Jen, telling her pals.

She added, "I can't believe Britney's children were taken away from their mother. I feel so sorry for her." According to Beck, the joviality of the table abruptly halted when Britney's name was mentioned.

"It looked like Jen was about to cry", Beck tells OK exclusively. "You could tell she had a lot of sympathy for Britney and the children. She was clearly shocked that Britney lost custody of the boys."
