David Beckham thanks fans

David Beckham has thanked fans and medical staff for their support following his father's heart attack.

The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer star, who penned the heartfelt note soon after arriving back in the US, praised hospital workers who nursed his dad Ted back to health last week.
David wrote on his official blog: "I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and ambulance staff who were amazing in their care of my dad.
"I'd also like to thank all of you who sent messages of support, flowers and cards to the hospital - they were greatly appreciated
