Spears, is close to settling with the victim, whose car was slightly damaged after the singer hit it in a Studio City, California, parking lot August 6 and fled.

Spears was booked October 15 in L.A. on misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and driving without a valid California driver's license stemming from the crash.

Spears plans to pay the victim restitution. Her misdemeanor count of hit-and-run may be dismissed, the source said.
