Owen Wilson was expected to go straight to rehab after checking out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following his suicide attempt on August 26.

But now, it looks like he’s choosing to forego the advice of his loved ones, who have urged him to continue his treatment, In Touch Weekly reports. Despite stints in rehab twice before, Owen “doesn’t think he really has a problem,�? says an insider. Instead, he has hired a $750-a-day sober companion and is even considering taking a trip out of town. Owen is relying on a male companion to stay by his side 24/7. “Owen’s sober companion will be traveling with him,�? says the insider. Despite reports to the contrary, Owen, 38, clearly did not slit his wrists. On Labor Day, he was seen leaving home with his dog, Garcia, to go to his brother Luke’s house nearby.
