Kylie Minogue is set to release a new single called '2 Hearts' - her first
song since battling breast cancer.
The 'Feel' singer was inspired to write the electro-pop balled - the first
track she has released in over two years since being diagnosed with breast
cancer in 2005 and undergoing painful chemotherapy treatment - after
listening to dance anthems in Ibiza clubs.
Kylie told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “We are now in the final stages of
the album and are having to make some difficult but exciting decisions about
which songs will stay and which ones will go. But I think you can safely say
that ‘2 Hearts’ will be staying.
“I started working on this album a year-and-a-half ago and can’t believe it
is nearly finished.
The 39-year-old star, who co-wrote the track with underground electro-punk
group Kish Mauve, is currently trying to choose her final tracklist from a
batch of 40 songs.
Kylie, who has worked with the Scissor Sisters, Groove Armada, Calvin Harris
and Stuart Price on the new LP, will release her new single and album in
November.
