The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer star - was devastated when he was told dad Ted had suffered a heart attack and caught the first plane back to London. David's spokesman said: "His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in hospital. David is flying back to be with him." Ted, 59, was taken to hospital after complaining of chest pains at home. Sources claim he died en route to Whipps Cross Hospital in Essex but was resuscitated by paramedics.
