Nicole Richie and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, have learned they’ll be welcoming a son this winter reports IN TOUCH.

Snuggling, kissing and laughing with friends during a low-key night at the Chateau Marmont, Nicole Richie and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, looked a lot happier than the week before, when they were stressed out and fighting. “He was constantly making sure she was okay,� says a witness at the Hollywood hotel on July 29.

It’s no wonder that the pair were in high spirits — just days earlier, Nicole and the Good Charlotte front man, 28, found out the gender of their baby: It’s a boy!

And it’s a girl for Christina

Christina Aguilera, who is about 18 weeks pregnant, found out in a July 25 ultrasound at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA that she’s having a girl, an insider tells In Touch. Christina, whose due date is December 15, has been touring in Australia, but had to cancel two shows and was restricted to bed rest on July 29 after coming down with the flu.
