An insider told Britain’s News of the World, "There are too many egos for them to last more than a tour together. On the outside the girls are pals and everything is fantastic. But behind the scenes the Spice Girls' wars have started again—and the egos have landed."

Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, has been causing problems by her constant tardiness and apparent lack of concern for her bandmates. At meetings, says the snitch, "She was…acting crazy, spouting all sorts of stuff, and desperate to show off. It was like, ‘Listen everyone, I'm the craziest person here.'"

Melanie Chisholm - Sporty Spice - couldn’t take Mel B.’s behavior and asked to be separated from her during the reunion announcement press conference. Said the source, "She needed to relax. Mel B was so over the top it was too much to bear."

Geri “Ginger Spice�? Halliwell made sure to make her mark at the press conference. The insider said, "She ignored orders to walk out as a five-piece. She jumped out of her car and ran alone to greet fans. None of the others were happy. It was clear she wanted the limelight."

Geri also upset Mel B. when she told her that her baby looked like Eddie Murphy. Murphy denied paternity of Mel’s child and was forced to take a DNA test. When Geri made the comment, “the whole room stopped and the girls looked terrified that Mel would explode," leaked the source.

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham felt as though she was left out of the press conference. The insider said, "At one stage she didn't get a word in for ten minutes and she rolled her eyes. She looked put out.�?

Summing things up, the source said, “Posh and Mel C. came away a bit bruised, as Mel B. and Geri had stolen the thunder. Emma [Baby Spice] seemed happy to go along with everything, which meant the rest of them felt she wasn't supporting them!"
