SEX IN THE CITY MOVIE IS A GO

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reports that the "Sex and the City" movie is officially in the works. That's right girls, get your Manolo's ready!

That's quite a relief because word on the street has been that the stars have been bickering back and forth over money and contractual issues ever since the cable television series ended in 2004.

The magazine also said New Line Cinema is on the verge of closing a deal to distribute the flick with HBO.

Ausiello reports that Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and even Kim Cattrall have all signed on the dotted line and shooting on the film is expected to begin in mid-September.

You may recall that it was Cattrall who originally set off the trouble by requesting she be paid as much as Parker, whose salary was greater becuae of her executive producer credit. When that hurdle was crossed, it was rumored that Catrall then sought script approval.

Ther's no word yet on what finally made Catrall take the bait but boy are we excited. There's no doubt that the movie would have been a guanteed flop unless all four original actresses got on board.

An official announcement may come as early as next week.
