MARIO CANTONE’S EXCLUSIVE SEX AND THE CITY PREVIEW!

Sex and the City fans everywhere rejoiced when it was announced that the show’s stars — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon — had finally signed on to star in the big-screen version. And they’re thrilled to begin filming in September, says Mario Cantone, who plays Charlotte’s friend Anthony. “I’ve heard from some of the girls — the script is great,� he tells Life & Style exclusively. “And we’re filming in NYC. It’s like the fifth character!�

Mario can dish about what kept the film from happening sooner: money. “You have to give Kim what she wants,� he says, referring to the rumors that the actress was holding out for more money. “She’s worth it! They’re all worth it. Just thank God we’re doing it now and not 20 years from now, when it would all take place in a nursing home!�

Although Mario, 47, can’t reveal much about the plot, he says it picks up not long after from the point the show ended in 2004 (Carrie reunited with Mr. Big, Samantha survived breast cancer, Charlotte adopted a baby and Miranda married Steve). “The characters are a little older and hopefully a little wiser,� he says.
