In divorce papers filed last October, Sara claimed her politician husband solicited sex on the Internet, exposed one of their children to porn on TV and had an affair with their children’s nanny- but there’s another side to the twisted story of the “Dancing with the Stars�? beauty.

‘Craig is not the villain, and Sara’s not the angel�? as the pair are portrayed in the divorce papers, revealed a close family friend.

“There is so much that Sara does not want anyone to know about their failed marriage- and it’s about time someone tells the complete truth. Contrary to the pure and innocent image she portrays, Sara smokes, drinks alcohol and loves watching porn.�?

Sara’s divorce made national headlines after she suddenly dropped out of the TV dancing competition last year to deal with her crumbling marriage.

But Sara was planning to divorce Craig, 44, months before she filed papers- and she used the divorce to garner favorably publicity while she was starring on the show, charges the friend.

Despite Sara’s stunning allegations against her husband, the friend says the final straw for the couple was a disagreement over Sara’s career.

“Craig asked Sara to put her career on hold for two years so they could raise their children in a stable, normal environment, but she refused. I think she planned to file for divorce in the middle of competing on the hit show, and claim she quit to be with her kids- that way, her divorce ended up a publicity stunt too.�?

According to the friend, Craig- whose political career is based in Oregon- repeatedly tried to save the marriage through counseling, therapy and spiritual guidance from the couple’s pastor. But the pal says Sara refused to cooperate.

“I’m not saying that Sara is completely to blame for the collapse of their marriage- and I admit that Craig was not the absolute perfect husband. But Sara isn’t the innocent victim she claimed to be.�?
