Nicole Richie finally reveals: 'Why I'm having a baby'

Nicole Richie is more than three months pregnant with Joel Madden's baby, and is dismissing wild rumors surrounding her shock pregnancy reports NW Magazine.

"I got pregnant because I want to turn my life around," the 25-year-old told friends and family during an emotional meeting recently.

Nicole is hurt and furious over speculation she's having a baby just to avoid a possible jail sentence.

"She's fed up with all the misinformation being tossed around, especially the ridiculous claims that she got pregnant on purpose to stay out of prison," a friend tells. "Hearing that one made her really anxious to speak out and set the record straight."
