The Sun newspaper reports, "She spent so much money in the course of doing it that she now has very little left of the millions the girls all earned.
"Mel bought a huge house in the country which she had decorated with garish leopardskin.
The matching his 'n' hers leopard-print toilets were so ghastly they put potential buyers off buying the place.
She struggled to sell it on and was forced to knock down the price.
But Mel was very generous with her family and friends. She bought them houses and was constantly on luxurious holidays with her entire family and 50 friends. She always picked up the bill."
A source close to Mel B. told the paper, "Mel was really generous with all that. She often took stylists, hairdressers and entourage on holiday with her and she paid for the lot. It felt like she was on one big holiday when the band split. She just went all round the world staying at fabulous places."
Couple Mel B.'s penchant for picking up everyone's tab with the fact that she didn't make her ex husband sign a prenuptial and one begins to understand how millions of dollars can easily go down the drain.
After the bitter divorce, Mel B. was forced to hand over a huge chunk of her fortune, as well as giving him a house and regular maintenance payments, the paper reports.
