Hugh Grant proposed to Jemima Khan

Last month, Hugh Grant met up with his on-again girlfriend Jemima Khan in Paris. This month, he's rumored to have proposed. Are their secret meetings about to give way to a public announcement? Not until Jemima's certain what she wants, says one insider.

The source told the Daily Mail, "All the signs are pointing to the relationship being on again…They have always had a complex relationship…There could have been a clean break but he has begged Jemima for another chance."

In order to win Jemima back, Hugh is trying to prove that he can give her a long-term commitment. Says the snitch, "He has proposed but Jemima isn't sure whether she wants to enter another marriage. They started seeing each other again in April. It was on the understanding that they would give it a proper shot and that if they could make it work, they would marry."

Khan's mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, is skeptical of the relationship and "has told her daughter not to rush into anything," says the source. "She has seen Jemima go through one divorce and doesn't want her to go through another one."

Jemima is also reluctant to accept Hugh's proposal. According to the insider, "Jemima knows she needs to be 100 per cent certain that this is the right thing for her, which is why they have been so cagey about going public."
