This week E! reported that popstar Christina Aguilera is pregnant. Rumors have been swirling about Christina’s expanding midsection for weeks now, but the entertainment network claims to have confirmed that she is truly with child.

Also confirming the news was Aguilera’s father. British newspaper the Sun quotes Fausto Aguilera as telling a magazine, "I’m so excited. I want Christina to achieve all her goals. I wish her all the happiness in the world."

Another insider told the Sun, "[Christina is] thrilled. She’s feeling wonderful and taking good care of herself. She’s been planning this for a while, so her health is better than it’s ever been…Christina’s seen women with great careers, like Gwen Stefani, also raise great kids, and she feels she can follow their example."
