Brittany Murphy claims stalker kidnapped her husband

Brittany Murphy seems set to become the next Anne Heche, meaning it could only be months before she shows up naked at a stranger's home claiming she was abducted by aliens. For now, Murphy is just concerned with the man stalking her who allegedly kidnapped her husband.

A former employee of Murphy's told the New York Daily News that the Clueless star believes she is being pursued by "a high-powered Hollywood player." In April, Murphy's husband Simon Monjack disappeared for 10 days. Murphy attributed the disappearance to a kidnapping that was carried out by associated of the "Hollywood player."

"When [Monjack] came back, he had head injuries. He was pale and sometimes had trouble standing," says the actress' ex-employee. Topping off the bizarre tale, Murphy told her staffer that she would not be able to pay him because she had used her money for ransom for Monjack.

The National Enquirer contradicts Brittany's kidnapping tale, claiming instead that British citizen Monjack had overstayed his visa and had been jailed by immigration during those days in April.
