Britney Spears and Kevin Federline finalize divorce

Britney Spears is officially a single woman again. Her divorce from Kevin Federline was finalized on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court

Spears’s lawyer Laura Wasser told the press before the proceedings that her client and Federline intended to continue shared custody of their two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. After the hearing, she said, "I think [Spears is] okay with the terms. I think both of them would prefer to have more custody, and that can be worked out down the line."

Wasser asked that the specifics of the child custody agreement not be released for the protection of the children. According to TMZ.com, the agreement “details the specific timeshare schedule and transportation matters.� Wasser wrote that making this information public would increase “the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain." The judge allowed the motion to keep the documents private, pending a hearing next month.
