Scary Spice hits a baby boutique
Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B., a.k.a. Scary Spice, is either totally crazy or a publicity genius. The new mother is determined to prove that her baby daddy is comedian Eddie Murphy, even though he has vehemently denied the charges. She named her child Angel Iris Murphy, rather than giving her daughter her own last name, and went on a shopping spree for new baby wares bearing the moniker.
If I were Mel, I would do everything I could to forget about the sleazebag who left me alone to bear his child - that is, assuming Eddie is, in fact, Angel's father. But the former Spice Girl seems determined to do just the opposite. She's not backing down until she gets what she deserves (i.e., hefty child support checks). Her latest shopping trip makes one wonder if she paid the store's employees to snitch to the tabloids. Mel spent close to $4,000 during a recent visit to baby boutique Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills. Her purchases included blankets and chairs, which she asked be personalized with the initials AIM. Said one of the store's employees to the Mirror's 3AM Girls, "Mel was adamant that it was AIM and not AIMB. She wanted it to be Angel Iris Murphy. Not Brown. When we asked if she was sure, she said, 'positive.' Melanie was polite and laughed at the response to her choice of letters." Mel's shopping trip reveals that she is not about to let Eddie win this battle royale. I mean, she was called Scary Spice for a reason, right? |
