Actor Russell Crowe plans to make his own Australian-made film, after being dropped from Baz reports sawf.org
The actor revealed in an email he wrote to S magazine, that apart from supporting rugby league team South Sydney Rabbitohs, he is working on the Aussie movie with expat Aussie writer Stuart Beattie.
"Apart from Souths, [I'm] developing a local production with expat Aussie writer Stuart Beattie," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Crowe, as writing.
The film, which will be funded through a deal with Universal Studios and Imagine Entertainment, will feature Crowe as the Sheriff of Nottingham and will be directed by Ridley Scott.
Meanwhile, Russell Crowe is in talks to build a new sports stadium in Sydney,
Australia.
The 'Gladiator' star is the co-owner of National Rugby League team the South
Sydney Rabbitohs and is in preliminary talks with 'Without A Trace' star
Anthony LaPaglia - who is a director and shareholder in the Sydney FC soccer
team - to create a new sports ground in the city.
LaPaglia, 48, is quoted by the USA Today newspaper as saying: "Russell and I
have been talking to each other about the possibility of joining forces to
achieve this goal.
"He wants a stadium, I want a stadium, and we think together there is a
possibility we might be able to pull it off. We would combine forces to have
a home field, and training facilities.
"We're still trying to work out how to do it exactly, but there's a bunch of
e-mails flying backwards and forth."
The two actors have been in talks for around four months about constructing
a 25,000-seater stadium which both their respective teams could use.
