First things first, Rosie told fans on her website that she will not be taking over Bob Barker’s role as host of “The Price is Right.? She met with producers of the show last week, but ultimately decided that she would not uproot her family – wife Kelli and four kids - from New York to Los Angeles for the position.
A fan sent an email to Rosie asking, "Why is it such a problem that The Price Is Right shoots in L.A? A lot of people move their families because of a new job." The former host of “The View? responded, "Here's the thing. I don't really need a job. I'm in a weird position. I don't need the money. I know you're not allowed to talk about money in America, but I'm just saying I don't. So to get my entire family uprooted from their lives and move them across the country so that I can have a fantasy childhood indulgence job just doesn't seem fair. They all are in school, they have friends, we love their school, we love our community, our house, our life, our home. If they were able to do it in New York it would be a different story. But it looks like it ain't gonna happen."
O’Donnell is clearly a follower of gossip herself. In another blog video, she replied to rumors that Britney Spears was going to perform at “True Colors? at L.A.’s Greek Theatre on Saturday. O’Donnell herself as played drums on a number of the tour’s dates. She told Britney, "Brit, if you're watching, honey, you and me – we're gonna share, like, a backstage moment, 'cause I love you, kid…If it is happening, I'm thrilled, because I enjoy Britney."
