Kathy's comment comes just days after gossip claimed Paris Hilton was put on a drip as her weight plummeted
According to NW Magazine. worried doctors and jail officials were forced to put Paris Hilton on an intravenous drip after she lost more than two kilos last week by refusing to eat or drink.
The heiress dropped the weight after going on a dangerous hunger strike. Said to be in a "weak and lethargic state", the 26-year-old has lost her appetite since entering prison, turning her nose up at the food offered.
"She's refused to eat," says an insider. "Staff became worried as she seems very thin, with her bones poking out. She has since managed to get a little food down, but doctors are closely monitoring her."
Paris had previously admitted that she hadn't eaten during her first three days in prison for fear of being photographed using the toilet.
In addition to her shock weight loss, insiders say a miserable and unkempt Paris is quickly losing her looks, too.
"Paris looks very pale," says a source. "She's not allowed to wear make-up and her hair is matted from washing it with soap as there's no shampoo."
She was further distressed when jail officials refused her request to have items from home brought into her cell to make it more homely. "Paris ... asked the guards [if she could have] a portrait of herself," reveals a source.
She also asked for some family paintings, but was denied again. "They said no way and she freaked out," the source adds. "She said, 'I'm Paris Hilton, you can't do this to me.'"
