Kevin Federline stalling divorce from Britney Spears
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's divorce has come to a halt over Spears’s recent wild behavior. According to sources for People magazine and TMZ, Federline is reluctant to sign divorce papers because he is worried that Spears is not responsible enough to take care of their children.
An insider told People, "Britney's attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce, but Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney's post-rehab partying." TMZ says, “We're told Federline will not sign the final property settlement agreement and is saying, before he does, he wants proof that Britney can handle joint custody.� A prior agreement the couple had reached in March allowed them both to have custody of their two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. The divorce settlement they are currently debating would continue this arrangement. Federline, however, "wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney's access to her kids the next time her behavior troubles him," says People’s source. |
