Jordin Sparks’ Skinny Hope
While Jordin Sparks has said that she’s perfectly happy with her full figure, Star Magazine has learned that after she pasted her Idol audition in Seattle last September, she did take steps to tone for the finals. Kris Siegrest, Jordin’s personal trainer and long-time family friend tells Star, “Jordin spent about six weeks, from mid-December to last January, hitting it hard with me. She’s always been a bigger girl, but I wouldn’t say she’s had a problem with her weight. She embraced the person she was and the body that God gave her.� Sparks would train in a group with four or five other women 3-4 days a week, with occasional private sessions, says Siegrest, who woks out of Glendale’s Arrowhead Country Club. With Jordin she didn’t have time to “ease into a workout. It was game on from the get-go. And she took it really, really well, most people would vomit!� Kris adds: “Jordin’s one-hour workouts typically began at 9:30 a.m. and would burn a minimum of 600 calories.� Siegrest estimates that Sparks lost ten pounds under her watch, and that she’s dropped “at least twenty pounds� and a dress size over the past five months. “When we worked together, Jordin wasn’t allowed to tell me if she had made the Idol cut,� says Siegrest. “But I could tell she was doing well, because she really stepped up her efforts to get in shape. I see Jordin continuing to lose weight, but I don’t ever see her getting to a waif kind of a figure. And I hope she doesn’t. I think where she’s at now is a pretty healthy weight for her – and she’s absolutely beautiful.� |
