The assistant could be up to something. Maybe she's a double-agent. Would you trust someone who's related to the other side?
Marc Anthony and Dayanara Torres' marriage was over long before he hooked up again with J.Lo. When they married in 2004, it was not Marc or Jennifer who publicized their secret wedding, but whomever had tipped off the paparazzi. They had dated in the 90's when both were single; Marc fell in love with her (and dedicated his 1999 English album to her/"Lola"). Jen's feelings were more platonic at the time. They remained on good terms. In 2000 he and Dayanara got married.
After a couple of separations, two weddings in four years, and accusations that Marc had fathered the newborn of a Miami waitress, Dayanara was willing, oddly enough, to forget about the waitress, even though all the paternity results weren't back yet. Then I was shocked when she subjected her youngsters to a studio audience while she was crying on a talk show.
Apparently, someone decided that an unknown waitress isn't going to hold media attention long. What about blaming it all on former tabloid cover-girl Jennifer Lopez, the friend that Marc still held a soft spot for? Yet the reality is that Jen was with someone else each time the Anthonys separated.
The strategy has provided Dayanara two advantages: to maintain her faultless former-Miss Universe reputation (although divorced and herself dating men who've been separated), and to broaden her currently sympathetic public image. Despite all this, Marc and Jen are happy and his sons love her too. Children know when they're loved.
